You have deep expertise in BigQuery and strong skills in SQL and Python — you can navigate large datasets with precision and insight, building robust queries to identify inconsistencies. Your analytical mindset allows you to support both data validation initiatives and ongoing analytics work effectively.

You are comfortable working with advanced BigQuery features such as authorized views, materialized views, UDFs, partitioning strategies, and time series analysis — ensuring data integrity and surfacing meaningful insights is second nature to you. Your experience with Python, particularly with data frames and relevant packages, enables you to manipulate data, detect anomalies, and prototype workflows efficiently.

A solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals and GCP infrastructure is essential for your role — you can read and interpret code in Java or Scala, facilitating collaboration with engineering teammates. Familiarity with orchestration logic, particularly with Airflow (Composer), enhances your ability to understand data workflows, even if it’s not a core responsibility.

You are eager to leverage your experience with BigQuery ML, anomaly detection frameworks, or Vertex AI — these skills will help you excel in this role and contribute to innovative data solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support data validation initiatives during system migrations, ensuring that metrics are accurate and reliable. You will also handle day-to-day data analysis and reporting needs, collaborating with various teams to deliver insights that drive decision-making.
