Your expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript allows you to create seamless user interfaces that perform well across various platforms.

You are skilled in collaborating closely with product designers — you bring designs to life with pixel-perfect precision and have a keen eye for detail. Your experience includes leading the technical implementation and evolution of design systems, ensuring that best practices for front-end development and component architecture are established and followed.

You have a passion for mentoring engineers on design principles and implementation techniques — you enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping others grow in their careers. Your ability to create prototypes to explore new interaction models and validate design concepts is a testament to your innovative approach to design engineering.

What you'll do

In this role, you will architect and implement complex UI components and systems that balance aesthetics with technical performance. You will lead the technical implementation of our design system (Replit UI), ensuring that it evolves to meet the needs of our users and the business. Collaborating closely with product designers, you will bring their designs to life, ensuring that every detail is executed with precision.

You will create prototypes to explore new interaction models and validate design concepts, contributing to the overall user experience of our platform. Establishing best practices for front-end development and component architecture will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will mentoring engineers on design principles and implementation techniques.

Your role will also involve developing tools and processes to improve the design-to-development workflow, making it easier for teams to collaborate and deliver high-quality products. You will contribute to design reviews, focusing on technical feasibility and implementation, ensuring that all designs are not only beautiful but also functional and efficient.
