You have 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer designing and maintaining complex systems — you've navigated the challenges of building scalable applications and understand the intricacies of backend architecture. You are comfortable writing and debugging SQL, which is essential for managing data effectively in your role. You love debugging and finding the root cause of production issues, ensuring that the systems you work on are reliable and performant. You have excellent command of at least one of the mainstream programming languages, allowing you to contribute effectively to the codebase. You know how to ship high-quality code using good testing practices in iterative cycles, which is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the software. You collaborate well with others and can communicate effectively in a fully-remote culture, making you a valuable team member in a diverse environment. You are proactive — when you see a problem, you take the initiative to address it before it escalates.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at RevenueCat, you will be responsible for designing, building, and shipping end-to-end features that empower developers to grow their businesses. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Your role will involve maintaining and optimizing existing systems, ensuring they can handle increasing loads and complexity. You will also be involved in debugging production issues, collaborating with your team to find and implement effective solutions. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, ensuring that the codebase remains clean and maintainable. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our platform, helping developers monetize their applications effectively.
