You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and data, to deliver solutions that align with business goals.

As a senior engineer, you take ownership of technical roadmaps and initiatives — you thrive in environments where you can lead projects from ideation through to implementation and maintenance. Your ability to mentor junior engineers and share knowledge with your team is a key part of your professional identity.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain backend services that support Ro's mission of providing effective care to patients. You will work on systems that enable seamless communication between patients and providers, ensuring that all interactions are efficient and secure. Your responsibilities will include enhancing existing platform capabilities and implementing new applications that improve the overall user experience.

You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements. This involves participating in design discussions, conducting code reviews, and ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development process. You will also be responsible for monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise, ensuring that the services you build are reliable and scalable.

As a senior member of the team, you will help define the technical direction of the Care Platform Operations team — you will lead initiatives that drive innovation and improve the quality of care provided to patients. Your contributions will directly impact how Ro scales its patient-centric healthcare model, allowing the company to reach millions of individuals seeking treatment.
