Who you are
As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you are responsible for the accurate and safe preparation of non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications. You follow strict regulatory guidelines and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality standards are met. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians to fulfill compounded prescriptions accurately and timely.
You understand the importance of maintaining a clean and compliant work environment, adhering to strict gowning protocols, and ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are paramount in your daily tasks, as you prepare, label, and package medications for patients.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support daily production by preparing compounded medications according to established protocols. You will be responsible for labeling and packaging these medications, ensuring that all processes comply with safety and quality standards. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure timely fulfillment of prescriptions.
You will also be expected to maintain a clean workspace, following all safety protocols related to hazardous materials. Your role is crucial in providing patients with the medications they need while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will report directly to the Lead Pharmacy Technician, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacy operations.
