Roku is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Core Analytics team, focusing on improving Live product experiences through data analytics. You'll work closely with product management and engineering, leveraging SQL, Python, and R to drive insights and feature adoption.

You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and data modeling. Your expertise in SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, while your proficiency in Python and R enables you to build robust data pipelines and analytical models. You are detail-oriented and possess exceptional problem-solving skills, which help you uncover insights that drive product improvements. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate data findings into actionable strategies. You are passionate about using data to enhance user experiences and are eager to contribute to a fast-growing company like Roku.
Desirable
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker is a plus, as is familiarity with machine learning techniques. A background in the streaming or entertainment industry would also be beneficial, providing context for the data challenges you will tackle at Roku.
What you'll do
As a Senior Data Scientist at Roku, you will own the end-to-end analytics process for our Live product. This includes analyzing both structured and unstructured data to identify trends and opportunities for feature enhancements. You will collaborate with product management to define key performance indicators and success metrics, ensuring that your analyses align with business goals. Your insights will guide the development of new features, helping to drive user engagement and retention. You will also work closely with engineering teams to implement tracking solutions that monitor user interactions with Live experiences, providing valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
In addition to your analytical responsibilities, you will mentor junior data scientists, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. You will participate in regular team meetings to discuss findings and present your analyses to stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made at all levels of the organization.
