Overview
Rubrik is seeking a Senior Accountant for their Corporate Accounting team to manage the financial close process and ensure compliance with US GAAP. This role requires strong collaboration with various departments and a focus on process improvement.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting with at least 5 years of experience, particularly in corporate accounting. You are detail-oriented and possess a deep understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards. Your ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as FP&A, Revenue Ops, and Tax is essential, as you will be a critical member of the financial close process. You are proactive in identifying areas for process improvement and have experience in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to support compliance. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable managing external audit requests and SOX/internal controls.
Desirable
Experience with financial automation tools and a track record of enhancing reporting accuracy through improved data quality would be advantageous. Familiarity with SEC reporting processes and external audit management is also a plus.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and execute close activities for assigned areas, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses. You will manage the monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures to support SOX compliance. You will also manage PBC requests and provide support during external audits, ensuring that all requests are handled efficiently. Additionally, you will identify and implement automation changes to processes to shorten the close timeline and enhance reporting accuracy. Your role will require you to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies while partnering with various departments to drive improvements.
