You are an entry-level Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in engineering principles and a passion for the Internet of Things (IoT). You have experience with AutoCAD and are familiar with embedded systems, particularly Embedded Linux. Your programming skills in C, C++, and Python enable you to contribute effectively to engineering projects. You are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment, and you thrive on solving complex problems.
You understand the importance of safety, efficiency, and sustainability in physical operations, and you are excited about the opportunity to work on projects that have a real-world impact. You are a team player who communicates effectively and is willing to take on challenges to help drive innovation at Samsara.
What you'll do
As an Electrical Engineering Co-Op at Samsara, you will assist in the design and development of IoT solutions that improve operational efficiency across various industries. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to create and test prototypes, ensuring that they meet safety and performance standards. Your role will involve using AutoCAD to create schematics and layouts for electrical systems, as well as programming embedded systems using C and C++. You will also have the opportunity to work with Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
You will participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and contribute ideas for improving product functionality. Additionally, you will gain hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting electrical components, helping to ensure that products are reliable and effective. This co-op position is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to meaningful projects that enhance the safety and efficiency of physical operations.
