Who you are

You have extensive experience in machine learning and data science, with a strong background in building scalable AI solutions. You are proficient in Python and have hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, enabling you to develop and deploy machine learning models effectively. Your understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, allows you to leverage cloud resources for large-scale data processing and model training. You are comfortable working with SQL for data manipulation and analysis, ensuring data quality and integrity in your projects. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including ML engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver impactful product features. You are passionate about using data to drive insights and improve operational efficiencies, and you are eager to contribute to the digital transformation of industries reliant on physical operations.

Desirable

Experience with large-scale data processing and analytics is a plus, as is familiarity with IoT data and its applications in various industries. Knowledge of additional programming languages or machine learning frameworks can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Samsara, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end AI solutions that address the needs of our customers in physical operations. You will work with petabyte-scale sensor, diagnostic, video, and text data, applying your expertise to solve complex problems and deliver actionable insights. Collaborating with ML engineers and scientists, you will contribute to the development of core ML infrastructure that supports our product offerings. Your role will involve optimizing machine learning models for performance and scalability, ensuring they meet the demands of our customers. You will also engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
