Desirable

Experience with Docker and cloud platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with IoT technologies. You are adaptable and open to learning new tools and frameworks as needed to meet project requirements. A background in transportation, logistics, or manufacturing industries would be beneficial, as it will help you understand the unique challenges faced by our customers.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer II on the Connected Equipment team, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing Samsara's next generation of hardware and software products. You will collaborate with product management and design teams to define the features and functionalities that will empower our customers to gain insights into their operations. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing software solutions that integrate with our IoT devices, ensuring high performance and reliability. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the system, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development process. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues in production, working closely with the operations team to ensure smooth deployments and minimal downtime.
