Who you are
You have a strong background in compliance and safety management, ideally within the maritime industry. Your experience includes establishing and improving safety and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a proactive safety culture. You understand the complexities of maritime operations and are adept at navigating compliance challenges. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively advise leadership on risk and safety performance. Your ability to work collaboratively with production and commercial operations teams is essential for success in this role.
Desirable
Experience with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and international maritime laws is highly desirable. Familiarity with autonomous maritime technologies and their compliance implications will set you apart. A proactive approach to safety and risk management, along with a commitment to continuous improvement, will be key to your success.
What you'll do
As the Commissioning Compliance Officer at Saronic, you will lead the development and implementation of safety, environmental, regulatory, and compliance programs during end-of-line testing and sea trials. You will ensure that all operations comply with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and international maritime standards. Your role will involve advising production and commercial operations leadership on compliance exposure and safety performance, helping to mitigate risks associated with maritime operations. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety within the organization, ensuring that all team members understand and adhere to compliance protocols. You will also engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement in safety and compliance practices.
