You have a strong background in materials engineering, particularly with metallics, and are passionate about enhancing maritime operations through innovative solutions. Your experience includes leading projects focused on the testing and development of lightweight, high-performance materials that meet stringent military standards. You understand the unique challenges posed by maritime environments and are adept at optimizing materials for performance and survivability.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve mission-critical objectives. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders sets you apart. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in materials science and engineering.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the testing and strength allowable development of metallic materials for Saronic's maritime platforms. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing lightweight metallic structures that align with Department of Defense performance requirements. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you will ensure that the materials used in our platforms are not only high-performing but also durable and reliable in challenging maritime conditions.

You will conduct rigorous testing to validate the performance of materials and make data-driven recommendations for improvements. Your insights will directly influence the design and functionality of our autonomous maritime solutions. You will also engage in research and development initiatives to explore new materials and technologies that can enhance our product offerings.
