Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in materials and processes engineering, particularly with composite materials. Your experience includes developing lightweight, high-performance structures that meet stringent performance and survivability requirements, especially in maritime environments. You are familiar with the testing and strength allowable development of composite materials and understand the unique challenges posed by maritime applications.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Your attention to detail ensures that all designs are optimized for performance and compliance with mission-critical standards. You are also comfortable using design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create and analyze your designs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development of composite materials for Saronic's maritime platforms. You will be responsible for conducting tests to determine the strength and durability of composite structures, ensuring they meet the necessary DoD performance requirements. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate these materials into existing and new platforms, enhancing their operational capabilities.

You will also be involved in the design process, utilizing your expertise to create innovative solutions that address the specific needs of maritime operations. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest advancements in composite materials and engineering practices, applying this knowledge to improve product performance continuously.
