Site Reliability Engineer

Who you are

You have a strong background in site reliability engineering or a related field, with experience in building and maintaining production environments. Your expertise in cloud computing and infrastructure management allows you to ensure optimal service availability for customers. You are proficient in using tools like Docker and Kubernetes to manage containerized applications, and you have a solid understanding of Linux systems.

You are familiar with monitoring and observability practices, enabling you to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users. Your experience with AWS and Terraform helps you automate infrastructure provisioning and management, ensuring that systems are scalable and resilient. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with diverse teams to achieve common goals.

Desirable

Experience with incident management and response processes is a plus, as is familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments. Knowledge of programming or scripting languages can enhance your ability to automate tasks and improve system reliability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable infrastructure that supports Scaleway's cloud and AI products. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that applications are designed for reliability and scalability. Your mission includes implementing monitoring solutions to track system performance and availability, as well as responding to incidents to minimize downtime.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement in system architecture and operational processes. Your contributions will help shape the future of Scaleway's infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the needs of a growing customer base. You will also participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly.
