Overview

Scarlet is hiring a Medical Device Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements for innovative healthcare companies. You'll work with standards like ISO 13485 and EU MDR in a remote role based in the UK.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in quality engineering, particularly within the medical device sector, and are familiar with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 and EU MDR. Your experience includes auditing and certifying quality management systems, ensuring that manufacturers meet compliance requirements effectively. You possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to decompose and interpret complex quality requirements and implement them in practical workflows. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and enhance operational excellence. Your communication skills enable you to articulate quality standards clearly to stakeholders and foster a culture of quality within the organization.

Desirable

Experience with additional standards like ISO 27001 or ISO 42001 would be a plus, as would familiarity with the latest trends in health technology and AI applications in healthcare. You are proactive in seeking continuous improvement opportunities and have a keen interest in the evolving landscape of medical devices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for auditing and certifying the quality management systems of leading healthcare companies, ensuring they meet rigorous regulatory standards. You will design efficient audit processes that optimize the assessment of customer data, contributing to timely and secure QMS audits. Your role will involve interpreting relevant quality requirements and implementing them effectively within the organization. You will collaborate with the Quality Team to ensure full compliance and operational excellence, playing a pivotal role in the success of Scarlet's mission to enhance healthcare accessibility. You will also participate in cross-functional problem-solving sessions, working closely with operations and other teams to address challenges and improve workflows.
