Overview
Schonfeld is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain their quantitative development platform. You'll work with Python and AWS to ensure high availability and scalability. This role requires strong coding skills and experience in infrastructure automation.
Job Description
Who you are
You are a proactive and self-motivated engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. You have strong coding skills in at least one language, ideally Python, and experience architecting end-to-end solutions in partnership with quant and development teams. You demonstrate excellent leadership and a willingness to take initiative, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
You have a solid understanding of cloud-native technologies and best practices, and you are eager to mentor and upskill team members. Your experience includes automating infrastructure provisioning and management processes, ensuring that all tools provided are self-service and highly maintainable at scale.
What you'll do
In this role, you will collaborate with quant and development teams to ensure seamless application deployments and establish comprehensive coding environments from day one. You will lead efforts to continuously improve platform reliability, security, and cost optimization. Additionally, you will participate in L3 on-call rotations and incident response processes, ensuring that the platform remains operational and efficient.
You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the quantitative development platform, focusing on high availability and scalability. Your contributions will help developers and quantitative investment teams quickly get operational without worrying about infrastructure. You will also mentor team members on cloud-native technologies, fostering a culture of learning and improvement within the team.
What we offer

We offer a competitive salary range between $150,000 and $180,000, along with other forms of compensation such as performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
