Job Description
Who you are
You have 5-10 years of experience working in quantitative trading or risk management, demonstrating a strong track record of solving complex business problems independently. Your expertise includes market standard models for pricing equity derivatives, and you possess the ability to simplify and present complex topics effectively to influence decision-making.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with technology teams, external vendors, and strategy quants to prioritize and implement risk management solutions. Your analytical mindset allows you to build and maintain frameworks that provide insights into risk drivers, ensuring that the risk inherent in trading strategies is accurately captured in models.
You are adept at communicating insights to senior management, helping to inform capital allocation processes and mitigate risks associated with outsized drawdowns. Your experience equips you to create custom models and solutions when external options do not meet enterprise requirements.
Desirable
Experience with advanced risk modeling techniques and a deep understanding of trading strategies will set you apart. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial sector is a plus, as is a background in data analysis and statistical methods.
What you'll do
As an Enterprise Risk Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting senior leadership with risk modeling and monitoring. You will be responsible for understanding and analyzing trading strategies, ensuring that the associated risks are accurately reflected in our risk models. This involves collaborating with various teams, including technology, COO, and strategy risk coverage teams, to prioritize necessary work and implement effective risk management practices.
You will generate insights into the key drivers of firmwide risk, communicating these findings to the broader management team to aid in decision-making. Your role will also involve incorporating these insights into models and analytics to help mitigate risks and inform the firm's capital allocation process.
When external solutions do not align with enterprise needs, you will take the initiative to develop custom models and solutions, showcasing your problem-solving skills and technical expertise. Your contributions will directly impact the firm's ability to manage risk effectively and make informed capital allocation decisions.
What we offer
At Schonfeld, we offer a competitive salary range of $175,000 to $250,000, along with performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your insights and contributions are valued.
