Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in corporate law, ideally with a focus on governance and securities compliance. Your background includes advising on corporate governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and providing strategic legal support for corporate transactions. You are a trusted partner to internal teams, including finance and human resources, and you excel in navigating complex legal landscapes. Your communication skills allow you to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including board members and executive leadership.
Desirable
Experience in a late-stage private company or a similar environment is a plus. Familiarity with equity plan management and investor relations will enhance your ability to contribute to SeatGeek's growth. You are proactive in identifying legal risks and opportunities, and you possess a strong understanding of corporate financing transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
What you'll do
As the Senior Corporate Counsel at SeatGeek, you will counsel and advise on a wide range of corporate and securities law matters. You will implement and ensure compliance with corporate governance policies, providing support for board of director and committee matters. Your role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders to prepare meeting agendas and governance policy updates. You will also partner with the equity team to manage investor relations, including communications and equity transfer requests. Additionally, you will provide legal support for strategic transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and corporate financing transactions. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding SeatGeek through its next stage of growth, ensuring that all legal aspects are addressed effectively.
