Who you are

You have a solid background in software engineering, with experience in building and improving developer tools that enhance productivity and streamline workflows. You understand the importance of creating reliable and user-friendly systems that support various engineering teams. Your technical expertise includes proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, enabling you to contribute effectively to the Developer Experience team.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product and engineering partners to design and deliver capabilities that meet diverse team needs. Your problem-solving skills allow you to tackle complex challenges and find innovative solutions that improve the overall developer experience. You are passionate about simplifying processes and reducing friction for developers, ensuring they can focus on delivering great products.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for shaping how developers at SeatGeek build, iterate on, and release code. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement tools that enhance the development workflow, making it easier for engineers to deploy and manage their applications. Your work will involve creating and maintaining platforms that support ephemeral environments, enabling teams to test and iterate quickly without compromising on reliability.

You will also contribute to projects like Letsgo, a command-line interface that expedites local development, and Buildkit-operator, a Kubernetes operator that automates build pipelines. Your contributions will help ensure that SeatGeek's systems are dependable at scale, especially during critical moments when performance matters most. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
