Job Description

Who you are

You have 4+ years of experience in UX design, demonstrating excellent craftsmanship and a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors. You possess a strong mindset of a challenge, changemaker, and innovator, always looking to improve the user experience in live events. Your skills in behavioral design and systems design allow you to create impactful strategies that resonate with fans, sellers, teams, and artists alike. You are passionate about experimentation and data, using these insights to inform your design decisions and ensure high-quality experiences across the platform.

You understand the technical and logistical obstacles that can create friction during live experiences, and you are adept at collaborating with cross-functional partners across product, engineering, product marketing, and customer success. Your ability to sweat the details while balancing speed and quality is key to driving impact through both optimizations and new product development. You thrive in a remote work environment, with a preference for 4+ hours of overlap with a 9:30am-5:30pm East Coast workday.

What you'll do

In this role, you will set direction by creating clear and impactful strategies for SeatGeek's user experience team. You will deeply understand the needs and motivations of various stakeholders, ensuring that your designs reflect their behaviors and preferences. Your responsibilities will include defining strategies, providing end-to-end craft and thought leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to evolve the platform into a best-in-class ticketing solution. You will demonstrate outstanding design skills and a passion for experimentation, driving improvements in component systems to ensure consistent, high-quality experiences.

You will also be responsible for balancing speed and quality in your design work, focusing on driving impact through both optimizations and the development of new products. Your role will involve connecting the dots across various verticals of SeatGeek's business, ensuring that the user experience is cohesive and aligned with the company's mission to simplify and modernize the ticketing industry. You will have the opportunity to lead design initiatives that change live experiences, making a significant impact on how fans engage with events.

What we offer

SeatGeek offers a dynamic and inclusive work environment where you can thrive as a Senior UX Designer. You will have the chance to work on innovative projects that directly influence the user experience in live events. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Join us in our mission to transform the ticketing industry and create memorable experiences for fans everywhere.
