Who you are

You are a proactive corporate lawyer with a strong background in managing legal matters, especially in corporate governance and compliance. You thrive in hands-on roles and are comfortable reviewing contracts, grants, and legal agreements. Your excellent judgment and decision-making skills allow you to interact productively with cofounders and cross-functional teams. You have strong organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail. An understanding of the open-source AI space is a plus, as is an M&A background.

What you'll do

As the General Counsel at Sentient, you will work closely as an advisor to the business on all legal matters, particularly corporate matters and product-related questions. You will draft and negotiate bespoke agreements for Sentient's products and collaborations, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Your role will involve developing and driving legal contracting processes and workflows, as well as managing outside counsel efficiently. You will collaborate with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business operations.
