You are an experienced legal professional with a strong background in corporate law and compliance — you have a proven track record of providing legal counsel to executives and management in a fast-paced environment. You possess excellent communication skills and can effectively coordinate with external counsel on complex legal issues. Your proactive approach enables you to anticipate legal challenges and mitigate risks effectively.
With a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, you are well-versed in data privacy, intellectual property, and corporate governance — you have successfully navigated domestic and international transactions, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. You thrive in leadership roles, guiding legal teams and collaborating with senior leaders to align legal strategies with organizational goals.
You are detail-oriented and analytical, capable of dissecting complex legal documents and providing clear, actionable advice — your ability to influence organizational strategy through legal insights sets you apart. You are committed to fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct within the organization, ensuring that all legal and regulatory affairs are handled with integrity.
Desirable
Experience in the aerospace or technology sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with government contracts and regulations. You may also have a background in environmental law or risk management, which would further enhance your ability to contribute to Turion Space's mission.
What you'll do
As the General Counsel at Turion Space, you will lead the corporate legal strategy and oversee all legal and regulatory affairs for the organization — you will provide expert legal advice to the CEO, COO, board of directors, and senior leaders across the organization. Your role will involve spearheading regulatory and risk compliance programs, ensuring that the company operates within the legal framework while pursuing its mission to support the in-space economy.
You will manage a team of legal professionals and coordinate with external counsel on various legal matters, including government and regulatory issues, data privacy, and intellectual property — your leadership will be crucial in guiding the legal team to effectively address the challenges faced by the organization. You will also play a key role in influencing organizational strategy, providing insights that align legal considerations with business objectives.
In addition to providing legal counsel, you will oversee domestic and international transactions, ensuring that all agreements are compliant and beneficial to the organization — your expertise will help mitigate risks associated with contracts and partnerships. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing training programs to promote compliance and awareness of legal issues within the organization.
