Who you are
You have over 10 years of experience in finance, ideally in high-growth startups, where you've led or built finance functions from the ground up. Your understanding of both traditional finance systems and Web3 economics sets you apart, allowing you to navigate the complexities of capital planning and tokenomics with ease.
Your strong experience managing budgets, cash flow, and investment strategies means you can ensure liquidity and security across both fiat and crypto treasuries. You are familiar with crypto treasuries, stablecoins, and DeFi tooling, which enables you to innovate in financial operations while maintaining compliance and efficiency.
You possess proven success in fundraising and investor communications, showcasing your ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Your strong organizational skills and clear communication style allow you to effectively manage board-level communications and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
As the VP Finance, you will lead all corporate finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will oversee both fiat and crypto treasuries, ensuring liquidity, security, and efficiency in financial operations. Your role will involve building and maintaining financial models that connect company performance with protocol economics, which is crucial for strategic decision-making.
You will manage investor relations and fundraising efforts, serving as a strategic partner to the founders on capital allocation and long-term growth. Collaborating with product, legal, and protocol teams, you will help shape the company's tokenomics, incentives, and compliance frameworks.
Establishing scalable systems for financial operations, audits, and internal controls will be a key responsibility, as will developing frameworks for risk management, custody, and yield strategies. You will also support grants, contributor payments, and ecosystem funding programs, ensuring that the financial operations align with the company's innovative goals.
