Who you are

You are an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in building scalable data pipelines. You have expertise in Python and advanced SQL, allowing you to develop robust solutions that handle large volumes of data efficiently. Your experience with ETL/ELT processes, particularly using dbt, enables you to transform and structure data effectively, ensuring it is intelligible and reliable. You are familiar with orchestrating complex data workflows using Apache Airflow, managing dependencies, and ensuring error recovery. You understand the importance of data quality and have implemented monitoring and alerting systems to proactively manage data health. Your knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, particularly with Terraform, allows you to deploy data infrastructure efficiently while promoting DevOps best practices within teams.

What you'll do

At SFEIR, you will be responsible for architecting and developing data pipelines that are both robust and scalable on the Cloud. Your daily tasks will involve implementing ETL/ELT solutions using dbt, ensuring that data is structured and reliable through rigorous testing and documentation. You will orchestrate complex data workflows with Apache Airflow, managing dependencies and ensuring that error recovery processes are in place. Additionally, you will set up monitoring and alerting systems to transition from a reactive to a proactive approach regarding data quality. You will also deploy data infrastructure using Terraform, sharing best practices with client teams to modernize their data practices. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation and evolution within a supportive community of experts at SFEIR.
