You are an enthusiastic individual eager to dive into the world of social media marketing within a vibrant cultural institution. As a Social Media Intern, you possess a strong understanding of various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Your attention to detail and accuracy is complemented by excellent language, spelling, and grammar skills, ensuring that all communications reflect the museum's values and mission. You have strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to engage effectively and courteously with the public, artists, vendors, and museum staff at all levels. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited to contribute to a team dedicated to fostering connections through art.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work closely with the Social Media team at SFMOMA, which includes the Associate Director of Social Media and Content Marketing, the Social Media Program Manager, and the Associate Content Producer. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in creating and curating content for SFMOMA's social media channels, helping to promote exhibitions, events, and educational programs. You will engage with the museum's audience by responding to comments and messages, fostering a sense of community online. Additionally, you will help analyze social media metrics to understand audience engagement and inform future content strategies. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in social media marketing within a leading cultural institution, allowing you to develop your skills and contribute to meaningful projects.
