Who you are

You have a strong technical background with experience in installing and configuring Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Your expertise includes hardware, software, and network setup, allowing you to troubleshoot issues effectively and ensure smooth installations. You are comfortable conducting site surveys and can provide training to clients on the POS ecosystem, ensuring their satisfaction during and after the installation process.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to coordinate effectively with merchants and provide them with the necessary support. Your ability to document installations and manage inventory demonstrates your attention to detail and organizational skills. You are also willing to participate in ongoing training to stay updated on the Shift4 product suite.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the complete integration of POS systems and peripherals at merchant locations. You will perform installations that include hardware, software, network setup, and configuration. Conducting site surveys and troubleshooting network or cabling issues will be part of your daily tasks. You will test hardware, software, and credit card processing with minimal remote support, ensuring that everything functions correctly before handing it over to the client.

You will provide merchant training on POS systems, ensuring that clients are comfortable and satisfied with their new systems. Documenting installations and providing photos of your work will be essential for maintaining quality standards. You will also participate in enterprise-level projects and assist with feedback on software and hardware beta testing, contributing to the continuous improvement of Shift4's offerings.

Your role will require local travel within 200 miles and occasionally nationally for installations as needed. You will maintain an inventory of equipment and manage requisitions, ensuring that you have the necessary tools for each installation. Additionally, you will track and submit monthly expense reports, keeping your activities organized and transparent.
