Who you are

You have 8-12 years of experience in programming, particularly with Python, R, SQL, and NoSQL, and you're well-versed in Spark and cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your expertise includes using Python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and TensorFlow, which you leverage to develop predictive models and engage in statistical hypothesis testing to support decision-making processes.

You possess a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, including SVM, Random Forest, Neural Networks, Decision Trees, Logistic Regression, K-means Clustering, and PCA. Your ability to analyze both structured and unstructured data allows you to discover insights that drive business results. You are comfortable with large-scale data processing and distributed computing, which is essential for handling complex data ecosystems.

Your role involves engaging with clients to understand their complex problem statements and offering tailored solutions in sectors such as Retail, Pharma, Banking, and Insurance. You contribute to internal product development initiatives related to data science and help define the data science roadmap while guiding your team to meet their deliverables.

You have proven project management skills, enabling you to deliver complex projects effectively, including effort and time estimation. You take ownership of client engagements, ensuring that processes are scalable for faster turnaround and higher accuracy. Your excellent communication skills allow you to provide necessary inputs to sales and pre-sales activities, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

Desirable

Experience with additional machine learning frameworks or tools would be a plus, as would familiarity with advanced statistical methods and data visualization techniques.

What you'll do

As a Senior Lead Data Scientist at Sigmoid, you will develop and implement predictive models using various machine learning algorithms. You will engage with clients to understand their needs and provide data-driven solutions that address their challenges. Your responsibilities will include designing statistical hypothesis tests and contributing to the development of internal data science products.

You will lead a team of data scientists, guiding them in their projects and ensuring that they meet their deliverables. Regular project reviews and audits will be part of your role to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for defining the technology and strategy roadmap for client accounts, guiding the implementation of that strategy within projects.

Your proactive approach will help you build scalable processes for client engagement, enhancing turnaround times and accuracy. You will allocate workloads among team members based on their skills and availability, ensuring that projects are staffed appropriately. Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial in providing insights and inputs to sales and pre-sales activities, helping to drive business growth.
