What you'll do

As a Staff Frontend Engineer at Skydio, you will lead the development of advanced web applications that support drone operations and first responders. You will be responsible for the architecture and implementation of the Remote Flight Deck, DFR Command, and ReadyLink applications, which are essential for tactical coordination and real-time video sharing. Your role will involve driving UX innovation and collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features that meet the urgent needs of users in critical situations.

You will also participate in a low-friction on-call rotation, ensuring that the platform remains stable and reliable, as lives depend on the technology you build. Your contributions will directly impact the future of Drones as First Responders, and you will play a vital role in shaping the user experience for drone pilots and mission commanders. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
