You have 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, focusing on building and maintaining secure and reliable infrastructure. Your background includes deep expertise in security operations and site reliability engineering, allowing you to tackle complex challenges in production environments. You are skilled in automation and understand how to create scalable solutions that enhance security and reliability. You have a strong foundation in Linux and are proficient in using tools like Docker and Kubernetes to manage containerized applications. Your experience with AWS and Terraform enables you to design and implement cloud infrastructure that is both secure and efficient. You are a problem solver who engineers solutions rather than simply fixing issues as they arise. You are passionate about security and have a keen interest in protecting systems against potential threats.

Desirable

Experience with Ansible and Python is a plus, as these skills will help you automate processes and improve system reliability. Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices will further enhance your ability to contribute to the team. You are comfortable working in a remote environment and can effectively communicate and collaborate with team members across different locations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will engineer secure and resilient infrastructure, designing, building, and maintaining systems that support Smartsheet's global operations. You will work closely with the Security Operations team to mature the company's security posture, treating security as a software engineering challenge. Your responsibilities will include implementing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the development lifecycle. You will also be responsible for capacity planning and optimizing costs associated with cloud infrastructure. Your work will directly impact the reliability and security of Smartsheet's services, ensuring that customers receive world-class support 24/7.
