You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on security application development. Your background includes designing and implementing secure features in SaaS products, and you understand the importance of building resilient and trustworthy platforms. You are proficient in modern programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, TypeScript, and Python, and you have a security-first mindset when developing scalable back-end services and APIs.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to tackle complex challenges at the intersection of application development and security. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest security practices and technologies.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms and security frameworks is a plus. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines will enhance your ability to contribute to the team's success. What you'll do

In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust security features for Smartsheet's SaaS product. You will work closely with the Security Application Development team to develop secure product features that delight our customers. Your responsibilities will include implementing security functionalities directly into the product, ensuring that security is integrated into every aspect of the development process.

You will also develop scalable back-end services and APIs with a security-first mindset, ensuring high availability and performance. Your work will directly contribute to the resilience and trustworthiness of the platform, protecting customer data 24/7. You will engage in code reviews, collaborate with other engineers, and participate in architectural discussions to enhance the security posture of the product.
