Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in security engineering with a focus on product security — your experience includes designing and implementing security solutions that enhance the security posture of software products. You are adept at developing threat models and reviewing design documents from a security perspective, ensuring that security is integrated into the development lifecycle. Your ability to collaborate with engineering teams allows you to provide expert leadership and advice on secure architecture and implementation.

You possess a deep understanding of secure software development practices and are familiar with multi-cloud environments — you have a track record of building services and libraries that increase developer productivity while maintaining a secure-by-default approach. Your experience in leveraging data to drive security outcomes is complemented by your commitment to documentation, testing, and observability in software engineering.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, plan, and implement features that enable Snowflake systems to remain secure-by-default. You will build services and libraries that empower developers to work autonomously while adhering to security best practices. Collaborating closely with engineering and security teams, you will provide guidance on secure architecture and design, ensuring that security considerations are integrated into all aspects of product development.

You will create and scale security products and services that prioritize developer empathy, making it easier for teams to deploy and maintain security services. Your responsibilities will include detecting security vulnerabilities and implementing solutions that enhance the overall security posture of Snowflake products. You will also be involved in building a platform that unifies the security experience for developers, driving innovation and collaboration across teams.
