What you'll do

As a Retail Loan Originator at SoFi, you will be responsible for evaluating initial loan applications and supporting documentation to assess creditworthiness and repayment ability. You will perform preliminary analysis of applicants’ credit, income, and assets, clearly communicating initial eligibility and next steps to customers. Throughout the loan lifecycle, you will communicate key origination timelines, product options, pricing, and underwriting requirements. You will proactively engage with applicants through outbound communication to obtain required documentation and ensure timely progression from application to funding. Your role will be crucial in providing a modern, transparent alternative to the traditional mortgage experience, and you will play a key part in driving SoFi's mortgage sales organization.
