SoFi is hiring a Production Sales Manager to lead a team of Retail Loan Originators. You'll be responsible for training and managing performance to drive team success while ensuring exceptional member experiences.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in sales management, particularly in the retail mortgage sector, and possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of loan originators. Your experience includes setting performance metrics and ensuring adherence to service standards, which is crucial for achieving loan closing targets. You understand the importance of collaboration between sales and operations to ensure predictable throughput and a seamless experience for members.
You are skilled in coaching and developing team members, helping them to excel in their roles and achieve their individual and collective goals. Your leadership style emphasizes accountability and performance, and you are adept at managing various production performance metrics, including locks, funds, pull-through, and cycle time. You are also familiar with the regulatory landscape, including the SAFE Act, ensuring compliance in all operations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead a team of 10–12 Retail Loan Originators, focusing on training, motivating, and managing their performance to drive success. You will own production performance metrics, setting clear expectations for daily activity and pipeline health. Your responsibilities will include driving go-to-market strategies in collaboration with realtor partners, builders, and referral programs, ensuring alignment between sales and operations for predictable throughput. You will act as a second-level escalation point for member, pricing, and execution issues, maintaining high service standards throughout the loan closing process.
You will be responsible for facilitating loan closings at or ahead of target while ensuring that every member receives an exceptional experience. Your role will require you to maintain adherence to SoFi policies and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence within your team. You will also be expected to analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance team effectiveness.
