About the Role:
We’re looking for a DevOps Manager to lead our CI/CD and Developer Platform efforts, focused on improving how engineering teams build, test, and deliver software at scale. This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and developer productivity. You will be responsible for evolving CI/CD systems, defining engineering standards, and enabling teams to move faster with reliable, secure, and consistent tooling. You will lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on with architecture and technical direction.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop a team of DevOps / Platform Engineers
- Own the design and evolution of CI/CD systems across multiple teams
- Build and scale CI/CD pipelines using modern SaaS CI tools (e.g., CircleCI, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Support hybrid CI environments (cloud + self-hosted runners/executors)
- Improve build performance, pipeline reliability, and developer workflows
- Define and maintain GitHub standards (branch protection, PR checks, org-level governance)
- Partner with engineering teams to onboard services onto shared CI/CD and platform tooling
- Drive adoption of best practices across CI/CD, infrastructure, and developer experience
- Ensure security practices are embedded into CI/CD (secrets management, IAM, OIDC, supply-chain security)
- Contribute to architecture decisions and remain involved in technical discussions
- Support production reliability and incident response processes where needed
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Experience building and operating CI/CD systems in a SaaS or cloud environment
- Hands-on experience with CircleCI or similar SaaS CI platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Experience with hybrid CI setups (self-hosted runners/executors)
- Strong experience delivering workloads to AWS and/or Azure
- Practical experience with containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of CI/CD design patterns at scale (pipeline orchestration, caching, parallelization, multi-repo/monorepo strategies)
- Experience with GitHub workflows (branch protection, PR checks, automation, org-level standards)
- Understanding of security concepts in CI/CD (secrets management, IAM, OIDC, supply-chain security)
Leadership & Ownership:
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers (as a manager or technical lead)
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with team leadership
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
- Ability to drive technical standards and adoption across teams
