You have over 12 years of experience in software architecture and development, particularly in the realm of network security and firewall technologies. Your deep understanding of systems software allows you to design scalable and efficient architectures that meet the demands of modern cybersecurity challenges. You are proficient in C and C++, having utilized these languages to build robust security solutions that protect against evolving cyber threats.

Your hands-on experience with product development equips you with the ability to mentor teams effectively, guiding them through complex design decisions and ensuring that best practices are followed. You thrive in collaborative environments, where you can influence technical direction and foster innovation across multiple modules of a product.

You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to optimize performance and scalability in system architectures. Desirable

Experience with cloud-based security solutions or hybrid environments is a plus, as is familiarity with real-time data processing and threat detection methodologies. You are also open to exploring new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the security posture of the products you work on.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the system and component architecture for major subsystems, including the Data Plane, Control Plane, and Policy Engine. Your responsibilities will include designing for scalability and performance, ensuring that the architecture can handle the demands of a growing user base and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. You will lead the technical direction of the Firewall and Network Security platform, making critical design decisions that impact the overall product strategy.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to guide the development process, providing insights and recommendations based on your extensive experience. Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and understanding of network security principles. You will participate in code reviews, ensuring that the highest standards of quality and security are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

Additionally, you will engage with product management to understand market needs and translate them into technical requirements. Your ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives will be crucial in delivering solutions that meet customer expectations and drive business success.
