SonicWall is seeking a Senior Software Dev Engineer specializing in Firewall and Network Security. You'll develop and maintain security service software using C/C++ and work with various operating systems. This role requires over 8 years of experience in software development.
Job Description
Who you are
You have over 8 years of experience in software development, particularly in cybersecurity, and possess a solid foundation in computer science principles such as data structures and algorithms. Your expertise extends to TCP/IP networking and security, making you well-equipped to tackle complex challenges in the field. You are proficient in C/C++ and have experience with software development on both Linux and Windows platforms. Additionally, you are familiar with scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, and Shell, which you utilize to enhance your development processes. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail enable you to develop robust security solutions that protect against evolving cyber threats.
Desirable
Experience with cloud security solutions and familiarity with threat research methodologies would be advantageous. You are a proactive thinker who enjoys providing thought leadership and contributing to broader organizational projects. Your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is essential, as you will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining SonicWall's security service software, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance and security. You will operate and maintain the backend data center, focusing on optimizing system performance and reliability. Your work will involve designing and implementing software solutions that address the needs of enterprise clients, government agencies, and SMBs.
