Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the GDPR, and are adept at integrating these regulatory requirements into existing laws and company policies. Your experience allows you to work closely with various departments, including the Global Privacy Office, Legal team, HR, and marketing, ensuring that data privacy is upheld across the organization.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to provide clear legal advice and escalate issues as necessary. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all departments are aligned with data protection standards.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for advising on data protection laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant legislation. You will collaborate with the Global Privacy Office and various departments to integrate data protection requirements into company policies and practices. Your role will involve providing legal guidance on data privacy matters, helping to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
You will report directly to the Senior Global Privacy Counsel and will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining Sophos' commitment to data privacy and security, supporting the company's mission to protect organizations from cyber threats.
