Who you are

You have a strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the GDPR, and can integrate these regulatory requirements into existing laws and company policies. Your experience allows you to work closely with various departments, including the Global Privacy Office, Legal team, global purchasing, HR, and marketing, providing essential advice and escalating issues as necessary. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders effectively. Your ability to navigate the intricacies of data privacy law makes you a valuable asset to the organization. You are proactive in identifying potential compliance issues and are skilled at developing solutions that align with both legal requirements and business objectives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Global Privacy Counsel and will be responsible for advising on data protection matters across the organization. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that data protection practices are integrated into their operations. Your expertise will be crucial in helping the company navigate the complexities of data privacy regulations, particularly in relation to GDPR compliance.

You will also be involved in developing and implementing data protection policies and procedures, ensuring that they are up-to-date and reflect current legal standards. Your role will require you to stay informed about changes in data protection laws and regulations, and you will be expected to communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders within the company.
