Overview

Sophos is hiring a Group Financial Controller for a 6-month contract to oversee all aspects of accounting for the Group’s global operations. This role requires strong people management skills and the ability to develop relationships across various departments.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in financial management, particularly in a global context, and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Your leadership skills are well-honed, enabling you to manage teams effectively and foster collaboration across departments. You are adept at building relationships with senior executives and other stakeholders, ensuring that financial strategies align with business objectives. Your analytical skills allow you to interpret financial data and provide insights that drive decision-making. You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable navigating complex financial landscapes.

What you'll do

As the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial control team and ensuring that all accounting functions are executed efficiently. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance and collaborate closely with the CFO and other global finance departments. Your role will involve developing and implementing financial policies and procedures that support the Group’s operations. You will also be tasked with managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will play a key role in strategic financial planning, working with various business units to align financial goals with operational objectives.
