Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in automation and controls engineering, with experience in designing and implementing hardware and software systems for production environments. You are proficient in AutoCAD and have a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, including NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliance. Your experience with embedded Linux systems and programming in Python allows you to create efficient and effective automation solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology. You are detail-oriented and capable of balancing product specifications with process requirements to achieve optimal results.
Desirable
Experience with industrial control systems and familiarity with pneumatic and fluid schematics would be advantageous. A background in aerospace or automotive industries could enhance your candidacy, as well as knowledge of robotics and machine learning applications in automation.
What you'll do
In this role, you will participate in the conceptual development of new equipment, ensuring that product specifications and process requirements are met while considering layout complexity and cost constraints. You will design and lay out industrial electrical control panels, creating detailed electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics that comply with industry standards. Your hands-on approach will involve activating and troubleshooting hardware and software systems, ensuring that the production line operates smoothly and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with a talented team of engineers, sharing insights and best practices to develop innovative automated solutions for the Starship production process. Additionally, you will support the transport and storage solutions for Starship vehicles, contributing to the overall mission of enabling human life on Mars.
