Who you are
You have a strong background in avionics manufacturing engineering, with experience in managing the full manufacturing process of avionics hardware. Your expertise includes PCBA production and electromechanical assembly, ensuring high reliability in manufacturing processes. You are skilled in driving design for manufacturability and have a track record of championing continuous improvement initiatives. You thrive in interdisciplinary environments and can effectively liaise between engineering, supply chain, and production teams to meet rate objectives. Your problem-solving skills enable you to address manufacturing issues and implement design updates efficiently.
Desirable
Experience with environmental testing and tooling design is a plus. Familiarity with automation in manufacturing processes will enhance your ability to simplify and streamline operations. You are proactive in selecting and qualifying new equipment for electronics manufacturing, contributing to the overall efficiency of the production line.
What you'll do
In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between avionics engineering and other departments, ensuring that manufacturing and testing processes align with production goals. You will support both part production and the development of manufacturing processes, implementing high-reliability practices that allow production teams to operate independently of engineering. Your responsibilities will include driving design updates in response to manufacturing challenges and part obsolescence, ensuring that the avionics hardware meets all system requirements. You will also be involved in selecting and qualifying new manufacturing equipment, continuously improving existing assets to enhance production capabilities.
