Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and ideally possess a culinary degree with 2+ years of experience in the food service industry, or 4+ years of experience in the food service industry. You are familiar with basic cooking principles and techniques, and you have a firm understanding of all basic food safety principles. You can identify and utilize all standard cooking equipment effectively, ensuring a high level of professionalism in your work environment.

You possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, which are essential for collaborating with your team and meeting the expectations set by your supervisors. You are willing to obtain a CA food handler card, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining food safety standards. Your basic computer skills will help you in managing tasks efficiently in a corporate environment.

What you'll do

As a Cook at SpaceX, your daily tasks will focus on food preparation, set up, and operation of a station at one of our various food outlets according to leadership’s specifications. You will be responsible for setting up, working, and maintaining a clean and safe work station, ensuring that all food safety protocols are followed. Completing daily prep tasks is crucial to help the team meet time and quality standards set by your supervisor.

You will cook and plate completed dishes for service, ensuring that each dish meets the quality standards expected by SpaceX. Cleaning kitchen equipment and work/storage areas will be part of your routine, contributing to a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation. Your role supports SpaceX’s success by providing quality food options that boost morale and productivity among employees.
