You have 5+ years of experience in electrical design engineering, demonstrating a strong ability to take ownership of projects from concept through to production. Your expertise includes designing and testing highly reliable electronics, particularly in the aerospace or defense sectors. You are proficient in using tools like Altium Designer and AutoCAD, and you have hands-on experience with embedded systems and hardware bring-up. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure that your designs meet stringent requirements and performance standards. You are adept at problem-solving and enjoy tackling complex challenges, often exploring innovative solutions for previously unsolved issues. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with LabVIEW or similar software for testing and validation of electronic systems is a plus. Familiarity with satellite communication systems and government contracts can enhance your candidacy. What you'll do

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer on the Starshield team, you will be responsible for the rapid design, development, and testing of electronics that communicate with satellites. You will lead the electrical architecture design, ensuring that all components are integrated effectively to meet mission requirements. Your role will involve generating and verifying requirements, conducting hardware characterization and testing, and troubleshooting issues that arise during the lifecycle of the hardware. You will collaborate with other engineers and teams to ensure that your designs are viable and meet the fast-paced development timelines of the program. You will also be involved in on-orbit troubleshooting, providing support for systems once they are deployed in the field. Your contributions will directly impact the success of national security efforts through innovative technology solutions.
