Job Description
Who you are
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1+ years of experience with propulsion, avionics, or automotive hardware installation. You may also have a certificate from an accredited trade school or program. Your experience includes working with various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity, and you have a demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and reports.
You are familiar with materials such as Inconel, titanium, aluminum, and stainless steel, and you have experience working with close tolerances and using precision measuring instruments. You thrive in a high-paced team environment and prioritize safety and organization in your workspace.
What you'll do
As a Tube Bender on the SpaceX precision tube fabrication team, you will set up and operate CNC rotary draw bending machines while conforming to tight tolerances. You will also set up and operate CNC tube cutting equipment, ensuring that safety is your number one priority. Keeping a clean, organized, and thoroughly maintained workspace is essential to your role, as you will be fabricating precision tube assemblies that support projects related to Falcon 9, Fairing, and Dragon Spacecraft.
