What you'll do

As a Thermal Development Technician, you will preprocess and manufacture ceramic fibers and powders essential for the fabrication of thermal protection systems. You will be responsible for fabricating ceramic refractory billets and tiles, as well as thermal gap fillers and coatings. Your role will involve documenting processes meticulously to ensure replicability and performing product inspections to maintain quality standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other technicians to tackle the challenges of developing heat shields that can withstand extreme environments during atmospheric entry.
