Who you are

You have a strong background in facilities engineering with experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. You are skilled in AutoCAD and have a solid understanding of construction processes and project management. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers and contractors to deliver large capital projects. Your problem-solving skills enable you to resolve design and construction conflicts effectively in real time. You are detail-oriented and can develop and issue comprehensive drawings and design documentation for aerospace and industrial projects.

Desirable

Experience in aerospace or industrial construction projects is a plus. Familiarity with contract negotiation and management will enhance your ability to lead project teams effectively. A background in coordinating with utility providers for critical infrastructure is also beneficial.

What you'll do

As a Facilities Engineer at SpaceX, you will lead the project team throughout the entire MEP engineering process, from design to commissioning. You will develop and issue detailed drawings and design documentation for various projects, ensuring that all specifications meet the high standards required for aerospace applications. You will write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget. Your role will involve resolving design and construction conflicts in the field, requiring you to think on your feet and make quick decisions. You will coordinate with electrical utility providers to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure, playing a key role in the overall success of the projects you manage.
