Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Facilities Technician to support the operation and maintenance of their Rocket Development Facility in McGregor, TX. You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, performing carpentry work, and handling basic electrical and plumbing tasks.

You have a strong background in facilities maintenance and repair, with hands-on experience in various trades including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. What you'll do

As a Facilities Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing company machinery to ensure optimal performance. You will perform basic rough and finished carpentry work, constructing and repairing structures such as partitions, walls, and office furniture. Your role will also involve removing broken glass and replacing windows and door hardware, ensuring that all facilities are safe and functional. You will apply protective and decorative coatings to various surfaces, enhancing the appearance and longevity of the facility. Operating compressors, sandblasters, and other small power equipment will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will install, repair, and maintain drywall and ceiling texturing, contributing to the overall upkeep of the facility. Basic electrical installation and repair work will also be part of your responsibilities, including inspecting electrical systems for safety. You will identify and perform repairs on plumbing leaks and clogs, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly.
