Who you are
You have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with experience in overseeing the installation and maintenance of heavy industrial equipment. You are skilled in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and work instructions, ensuring that all installations meet the required specifications. Your expertise includes maintaining and installing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, which are critical to the operation of industrial facilities.
You are proactive in your approach to maintenance, utilizing corrective, preventive, and predictive techniques to ensure the reliability of industrial equipment. You understand the importance of operational and design feedback, and you are committed to maintaining and improving all systems at the Starlink facilities. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills enable you to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns effectively.
Desirable
Experience with cranes and compressed air systems is a plus, as is familiarity with the specific equipment used in the aerospace industry. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee the installation and maintenance of heavy industrial equipment, ensuring that all machinery operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for installing new production support equipment and conducting regular maintenance procedures to prevent equipment failures. Your role will involve inspecting and assessing the functionality of critical facility systems, including cranes and other support equipment.
You will collaborate with third-party contractors to ensure that installations are completed on time and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will also include performing troubleshooting on equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the production of Starlink, contributing to the overall mission of SpaceX to enable human life on Mars. You will be part of a dedicated team that values innovation and excellence in engineering practices.
