Job Description
Who you are
You are a motivated technician who enjoys working outdoors and is hands-on with vehicles. You have a keen eye for quality and can follow documented instructions on flight hardware. You thrive in a team environment and are eager to support the Falcon Recovery team in processing Falcon 9 First Stage Boosters. You are comfortable working with mechanical tools and heavy machinery, and you have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing both fluid and electromechanical components from schematics or drawings. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of safety and quality in high-pressure operations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prepare and maintain ground support equipment used for booster lifting and transit operations. You will perform high-pressure operations on both powered and unpowered boosters, ensuring that all tasks are executed with precision. You will carefully execute large-scale, critical lifts involving flight hardware, demonstrating your ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers and leadership to ensure that all processes meet flight-level quality standards. Additionally, you will complete tasks related to site preventative maintenance in accordance with the asset management system, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of operations at the Port of Long Beach.
