What you'll do
As a Recovery Engineer at SpaceX, you will own mission campaigns to process Falcon 9 boosters and fairings at the Port of Long Beach. Your responsibilities will include developing procedures and test plans that facilitate quick deliveries back to Vandenberg. You will drive efficiency in recovery operations, focusing on cost reduction and hardware health to improve refurbishment timelines.
You will be tasked with resolving operational blockers in the field, making real-time decisions to keep your team moving forward. Additionally, you will design and build new ground support equipment to enhance recovery operations. Your role will require you to ensure that systems are in place for hardware readiness, including preventative maintenance and testing.
You will remain synchronized with recovery operations on both coasts, ensuring commonality in hardware and operations where applicable.
